Ben Forrester is…
a New York-born and raised guitarist renowned for his soulful blend of Blues, Rock, and Soul. Coming from a musically inclined family, he began playing guitar at a young age, drawing inspiration from his earliest Southern Rock influences and legendary guitarists such as Duane Allman, Dickey Betts, and Warren Haynes. His deep appreciation for the genre’s roots led him to explore a wide range of influences, from the Delta Blues and British Invasion to iconic figures like Jimmy Page, Eric Clapton, and the Three Kings—B.B., Albert, and Freddie—as well as contemporary artists like Gary Moore, Joe Bonamassa, and Derek Trucks.
As a co-founder of the Allen-Forrester Band, Ben collaborates with fellow New York guitarist Josh Allen to craft a modern take on the classic twin-guitar sound. The band’s music is influenced by pioneers such as The Allman Brothers Band, Lynyrd Skynyrd, The Black Crowes, and Blackberry Smoke, resulting in a compelling fusion of straightforward Blues Rock and melodic Southern Rock. Their self-titled debut album, released in April 2023, has been praised as “the best Southern Rock in the style of The Allman Brothers and Lynyrd Skynyrd.” (Classic Rock 05/23). Ben took on the roles of producer and mixing engineer for the album, as well as for their two EPs.
A seasoned live performer, Ben has played stages ranging from intimate clubs to major festivals all over Europe, captivating audiences with his dynamic, expressive guitar work and soulful energy. His work with the Allen-Forrester Band has been described as “guitar-heavy, Blues-infused Southern Rock.” (BluesNews 113), solidifying their reputation as an exciting force in modern Blues Rock.
Beyond his work with the Allen-Forrester Band, Ben has collaborated with notable artists such as Jade MacRae (Joe Bonamassa/Jimmy Barnes), Jonah Smith, Kris Pohlmann, Ben Reel, Jamie McLean, Marvin Scondo, and Paulie Cerra. He also serves as the tour manager for the band paris_monster, demonstrating his versatility within the music industry.
In early 2019, Ben and his wife Eva launched EBF Music, a tour booking and management company dedicated to assisting independent artists in performing across Europe. EBF Music offers services such as booking tours, providing tour-ready pickup bands, and supporting artists in bringing their music to live audiences.
Operating from his personal recording studio, Ben offers remote guitar recording, production, and mixing services for other artists, ensuring high-quality sound and authentic musical expression.
